 Why Does This Role Matter ⚙️

This role is a critical part of our operations team, providing support to both our clients and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in overseeing client-focused tasks, including managing HR, Legal, Finance, and Payroll-related inquiries from clients and their employees in South Africa. You will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our mission to create equal career opportunities for global talent. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in administrative and operational support, with a strong background in HR, payroll, and compliance within the South African market. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, are essential for success in this role.

 Key Responsibilities 🔑

• Serve as a strategic partner to our clients, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of all HR, finance, legal, and payroll-related inquiries, both internally and externally.
• Coordinate key employee lifecycle processes - from post-onboarding to offboarding. Including contract verification, payroll and expense management, policy compliance, record maintenance, and collaboration with onboarding, finance, and legal teams.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and regulatory requirements, proactively conducting research and maintaining compliance databases to support client operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our in-country partners.
• Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy across functions.
• Manage and maintain records through our Hubspot CRM and internal platform.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

What we're looking for 🔍

• Deep understanding of South African labor laws, compliance requirements, and industry best practices, including hands-on experience managing terminations and dispute resolution.
• Extensive experience in client support handling inquiries related to HR, payroll, or legal matters, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality customer service.
• Strong ability to manage complex inquiries and provide strategic problem-solving solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
• You have experience in a startup or scaleup environment.
• You are completely fluent in English and added bonus points if you are in command of another language.
• Knowledge and experience in managing an HRIS system or CRM system such as Hubspot.
• You have excellent organisational and time-management skills as well as being an excellent communicator.
• Strong attention to detail, results-driven with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
